There Are Some Interesting And Popular Kid's Computer Games

If you think computer games only spoil kids think twice before settling with this thought, as there are games in the market that challenges this thinking and educate kids in fast and funny way. Few areas they cover are math, spell, brain and many others. Let's discuss some very interesting and popular kid's computer games.

Hot brain

This is very interesting brain training game. The player plays several mini games to test his brain and to make him sharper and smarter. The best thing about the mini games is that they are fun to play with and innovative though some of them appear boring and their numbers are quiet small. Multiplayer aspect of the hot brain is dull.

My Spanish coach

If you want to learn the Spanish language in a fast and interesting manner then this game will do it for you. There are eight different activities that help the player learn vocabulary, sentence structure, and verb conjunction. Animations of the game are pretty basic and music is not there in the game with the voice appearing muffled up at times. Even with its flaws this game is great for people who want to learn Spanish fast.

Spelling Challenges and More

This is a game that helps players with their spelling abilities. The player will be put into a challenge in a spelling bee. Player will be awarded with the dollars when he wins the game. The game has a hundred difficulties, and with many challenges for the player to complete. The player will spell and do other types of challenges in this game. The game can be very repetitive and the back ground does not seem attractive. Even with these flaws this game is great if the player wants to work on their spelling.

Buzz Master Quiz

Several quizzes are required to be answered by the player during this game. The game is like a trivia game show people would watch on their television. The great thing about this game is the presentation and the character avatar looks great. The pass around mode is also pretty fun and can leave the player entertained for hours. Though the one bad thing about the game is that the multiplayer modes are not so much fun.

Mind Quiz

This is a brain testing game. During this game, the player has to memorize different things like numbers, words etc. A lot of variety is available in this game to be played. The game play is quiet repetitive but it helps the player memorize things. The graphics are basically a bunch of numbers and somewhat bad art. This game will help the player feel smarter while they play it.

Cube

In this game the player must get the cube from the beginning of the level to the exit of the level. The concept of cube gets complicated as the player progress through the game. The tutorials in the game are really well done; they are pretty short and informative. A player can navigate through the menu very easily with cubes design. Figuring out how to complete every puzzle in the game can be fun and a great challenge for the player.

Ultimate Board Game Collection

This is a game that has many board games for players to play .It has all the family favorites like chess, checkers, and dominoes. If the player likes to play board games the ultimate board game collection is the right choice for them. The single player mode in this game may be lacking, but it is the multiplayer that shines to make this game a real treat.

Chess master

The Art of Learning is a game that can teach a player that does not know anything about chess and give them all the tools to learn to be good at the game. The player can play quick match of chess and save the game play. With the game play video the player can watch and see what new strategies they can learn to use when they play the next game of chess. The great thing about chess master is that there are a lot of chess games in the game itself so the player won't feel like they are repeating themselves. The different difficulty modes and unique character models should keep the player interested for a pretty long time.

Social Casual Games Are Different From Traditional Games In Many Ways

Welcome to The Social Playbook, which will review social casual games found on Facebook. Social casual games have become very popular lately, and since there are so many available with many more released every month, it's difficult to know which ones are fun to play and which ones you should avoid. This column will save you from having to try each and every game until you find the one you like.

Social casual games are different from traditional games in many ways, and can appeal to those who might never have played a computer game before. They're also a lot of fun even if you play other kinds of computer games. How are they different?

Time:

Casual games are designed to be played in about 30 minutes or less, once or twice a day, which is why they're casual. Casual games are great when you want to relax with a game but don't have hours to spend playing.

Friends:

Social games usually have some way of interacting with other people who also play the game. Some just have the ability to send and receive gifts, while others have chats and guilds where you can work together to accomplish goals. You can also post to your Facebook wall about accomplishments you've achieved in the game, such as attaining a new piece of gear or gaining a level.

Free or Cheap:

Social casual games are usually free to play, but there are optional items you can get with in-game currency. Most games have a way to earn the currency while playing the game, and you can do things such as signing up for a credit report or buying a product or filling out a survey to get more. Or, you can take out your credit card and spend as little as $5 or up to $20 or more. Buying in-game currency is completely optional, and it's been my experience that most people have never spent any money on the casual games they play.

Simple and Fun:

Casual games are usually, but not always, simpler than many other computer games, and I don't mean that as an insult. There are many computer games which are so intricate and have so many things to do that playing it is the last thing you want to do after a busy day at work or school. Casual games are meant to be fun, not mentally taxing.

A Brief History Of Computer Games

Computer games have seen an incredible amount of growth over the past several decades. In 1961, two MIT students created what is now considered the 'first' computer game for the PDP-1, called Spacewar!, where two ships skirted around a central star in an attempt to destroy each other. In 1972, the first text-based computer game, Adventure, emerged.
Text-based games, or 'interactive fiction' were the primary medium of gaming on PCs for almost two decades ' until the advent of affordable personal computers with graphics engines took hold. Text-games began to merge word commands with graphics, creating very basic games such as Pool of Radiance.
However, at the same time as computer games began gaining a foothold in the market, the console video games industry was experiencing a crash, due to poor quality games flooding the market. Thus, since home color computers such as the Commodore 64 were now priced affordably for home use, sales of computer games benefited from the drastically sinking console game market.
This game would lead developers toward creating more of a sense of realism in computer games, and in 1995, the rise of Microsoft's Windows OP launched an interest into hardware accelerated PC graphics. There were a number of affordable solutions created, in order to stay competitive with the now rejuvenated console market, and in 1996, the third-person action/adventure shooter Tomb Raider was released with revolutionary graphics.
Improved CPU technology saw a huge increase in gaming realism, as Microsoft's operating systems forced many MS-DOS games to become unplayable, and today's computer gaming market relies heavily on realism in games in order to stay current with consumer demand. Today, many of the improvements in computer gaming are in the form of advanced physics engines that allow a more realistic interaction with the gaming world.
Today's computer gaming certainly isn't limited to single-person playing as well, as new forms of marketing have been explored in order to stay current in an extremely competitive market. Some companies are releasing games in episodic format, with lower prices per installment, while the rise of online gaming allows publishers to charge a monthly fee for playing their game, while new content is constantly being added to the game world.

LOTRO Is A Combination Of The World Of WarCraft’s Combat, Cities Of Heroes Deed System

Lord Of The Ring Online
Many fans of the LOTR might know that Talkien has been inspired by the European landscapes to create the beautiful Middle Earth. You are asked by devs, during this contest, is to go and look around for a place in your country (only in Europe) that remember Middle Earth environment.

Once you have found the place that you like most, take a photo and send it via mail to Codemasters with these details.

So I’ve been going through a real Lord Of The Ring Online kick lately. After finishing watching the Extended version Trilogy again, I then went through all 6 DVD’s of the Making of and now I’m going through the Cast Commentary of each film. I suppose watching all of this and immersing myself in the Film project has given me an immense appreciation for the incredible effort that went into this film, I would say more so than any other films in human history. I say this because I feel that this could be directly responsible for how I feel about LOTRO.

After finishing the films again I was left with an incredible desire to explore this world in much more detail and on my terms. A testement to the amazingness of our times that now that option is available to me. My problem however is that I wanted to explore a world as rich as the one created in the films(visually) or as captivating as the world created in the books. Perhaps this was an unfair expectation in Turbine but upon entering Middle Earth in Lord of the Rings Online I was immensly dissapointed, and my guess is that many other players also are.

You can start off as any of the main characters in the story: Dwarf, Elf, Human or Hobbit however there is no major major differences between them. By this I mean they share 90% of the same classes throughout, so each race serves mainly an aesthetic purpose which can be good in a way as it allows you to play your favorite class and explore the hobbit world or the elves but there is no real compelling reason to choose one over the other or any reason to feel special about being an elf as there is a human of the same class out there that is identical to you without the pointy ears.

Turbine will effective taking over full control on LOTRO EU starting from June 1st , detaching from Codemasters. Until then, Codemasters will continue their work on the existing servers.

Kate Paiz, executive producer of Lord of the Rings Online comments: “We are working very closely with our partner Codemasters Online to facilitate a smooth transition to our new global service.

Interactive Entertainment is bringing quality games based on The Lord of the Rings to multiple platforms, and the franchise’s expansive adventure story lends itself perfectly for LOTRO free-to-play, giving a wide range of players the opportunity to experience the game,” said Jeff Junge, Senior Vice President Online Games and Digital Games Platforms, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “We are focused on expanding our game franchises onto new digital platforms to maximize quality experiences for gamers worldwide and LOTRO’s new model is a great leading example of this.”

Eberron UnlimitedTM was the world’s first truly premium free-to-play online game that ushered in a new era of choice for online gamers seeking quality entertainment,” said Jim Crowley, President and CEO of Turbine. “The popularity of DDO validated the extraordinary demand by gamers for quality entertainment they can experience at their own pace and within their budget. Extending free-to-play to LOTRO will offer another premium game to a broad spectrum of fans.”
“Having successfully taken two titles free-to-play in the past we are very pleased to be doing the same with The Lord of the Rings Online in Europe,” said David Solari, Vice President and General Manager of Codemasters Online. “It’s a fantastic, award-winning game with a wonderfully realized world and this step will only broaden its appeal and increase its player base.”

The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings Taks You By Surprise

Describing the opening moments of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings as a "trial by fire" is almost too trite to bear, but don't tell me it isn't accurate. As the dragon swoops overhead and incinerates you yet again, you'll understand that the game's method of delivering a tutorial, which is to whisper it to you in passing, has failed.
Your repeated, humiliating immolation isn't even enough to summon a helpful tip. When one of the characters asks the witcher how one handles such a beast, he responds, "You don't. You run!"

That's the advice from Geralt, professional monster hunter.

It's also completely incorrect. What you're supposed to do is cast the Quen spell, which creates a temporary, flame-resistant shield around you at the expense of vigor. Some of this information may have been presented via fleeting pop-up, but reading the tiny text on those things in the middle of your first battle is like making out the picture on a postage stamp while you're hurtling past it on a bullet train.

The Witcher 2's Cajun-style kick-off delivers a good jolt though, and a lingering dose of caution. That's where the role-playing truly begins. Geralt never speaks of monsters lightly, remaining stiff-necked and all too cognizant of the fact that getting stabbed in the back does 200 percent damage. Allowing yourself to be surrounded by a group of fiends or rushing into battle unprepared will get you killed, sometimes within seconds. It's nice to see monsters restored to a more threatening status than snarling sacks of XP.

Geralt, who is often greeted with the same uneasy gratitude reserved for burly exterminators, succeeds because of his mental and physical preparation. To share in that deadly serious mindset is what makes his affairs so involving. Thanks to his aptitude for on-the-go alchemy, you can use collected herbs and icky monster parts to concoct all sorts of potions, oils and absolutely crucial grenades, provided you own the recipes. Potions can temporarily augment vision, resistances or health regeneration (you can't use healing items during battle at all!), and oils enhance your swords, usually to the extreme detriment of certain species of monsters (all of which are more vulnerable to laceration from your silver sword).

The way in which all these options congeal in combat is impressive alchemy in itself. The Witcher 2 becomes enthralling when you venture into the dense woods, draw your sword in the moonlight and start the hunt for the fleshy components you need to craft a new set of armor. If the numbers aren't in your favor, you start picking opponents off by planting snares, tossing mind-altering gas bombs and cutting down stragglers. The swordplay never finds a good rhythm on its own, but it's an elegant complement to the witcher's satchel of tricks. It's just a shame that his profession won't be necessary a hundred years later. The monsters are all so eager to rush into obvious magical traps, they'll probably do a good job of exterminating themselves in the long run.

You never stop living the life of a witcher, though it does sometimes feel like you're on a working vacation. The lands of Temeria and Aedirn are so vivid and relentlessly realized, I was convinced my computer would start negotiating for less strenuous graphical settings, spitting out its GPU as a bargaining chip. In this game, a sword hilt and a distant mountain are treated with equal reverence, as is everything that lies between them.

The warm lighting, embellished clothing, the granite textures that can be felt without a touch, the rain that forces townsfolk to scamper for cover, and the best forest I've ever seen; it's hard to process for all parties concerned. The only thing that's not successfully rendered is a post office. I dearly wanted to send a postcard to Kirkwall.

Memories of that place aren't completely abolished here, as the inventory system also grows far too cluttered (it is a Western RPG, after all). It says something about the patience of shopkeepers when Geralt stands there for minutes, digging around in his disorganized bag of baubles for that item he'd like to be rid of. There's also no way of telling how many traps or grenades you have left once you've equipped them, which is about as baffling as the handful of hokey stealth sections that made it into the game. Still, there's nothing in this paragraph to get upset about.

The Witcher 2 is polished for the most part and Polish throughout, though its unique origin is reflected more in the grounded fantasy than in the charming, brassy localization. There's no apocalypse in sight, only a well-written web of murdered monarchs, racial tension and freedom fighting -- with just a dash of magic. Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher novels exhibit a clear influence, with the whole plot unfurling steadily like a poster that's just come out of a tube.

Geralt may occasionally seem like a vapid amnesiac, but his neutral position hides an inflexible hatred of injustice and inequality. Whether those ideals justify the alliances that are necessary to carry them out is a matter left to you. The Witcher 2 makes economical use of plot-altering decisions; the big ones count and the small ones often take you by surprise.

GTA IV Has Really Amazing Characters That You Are Acquainted With

Grand Theft Auto has always been in the limelight for various reasons. Sometimes for being the best open world game or sometimes for elevating the concept of having a ‘Hot Coffee’ with your girlfriend after a nice sweet date. Even though it might be surrounded by controversy or praise, Grand Theft Auto has always stood its ground and delivered time and time again.

GTA San Andreas was an epic achievement in magnitude and game play options and it had achieved that while being on the PlayStation 2. People wondered how much better the GTA universe could be when the game will make it’s debut on the next-generation consoles, i.e. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Fact be told, expectations were mile high and seeing Rockstar’s previous accomplishments, GTA IV was going to be no different. Today, we Review the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto and will try our best to mention every intricate detail that the Game possesses.

GTA IV is no different from it’s predecessors with pleothera of options at your disposal. Vice City had Tommy Vercetti, San Andreas had Carl Johnson. This time around the main protagonist is Niko Bellic who is an ex-soldier and has come to America. Like anyone or everyone who thinks that America is land of opportunity, the story is no different for Niko Bellic.

Mainly because of his cousin brother Roman, who has been living in America for a long time and has been sending Niko some really over the top e-mails where he mentions that he is living the dream with mansions, sports cars, girls etc. Unfortunately for Niko and fortunately for us all, whatever Niko’s brother had said was not true. On arrival we see that Roman is a small time Business man who owns a taxi service and is stuck in a lot of debt and this is where the whole story of our Mr. Niko Belic starts.

Every previous GTA games had amazing voice acting but it lacked something. The characters lacked a sense of personality, in GTA IV every character and by “every” we mean “every” character has some sort of amazing distinctive personality. Niko Bellic is a quiet but smart guy who knows when it’s right to talk and when it isn’t. He is a far more matured and crafted character then any of the main protagonist from the previous games.

He has a past and the way it is revealed through the game is just damn amazing. Roman on the other hand is a chilled out but scared fellow, he gambles, drinks and has an over the top imagination. When someone does screw over Roman, he is scared and doesn’t care but Niko on the other hand has a rule, no one messes with his family.

The characters have more depth to them then ever before. This is where the signs of the new GTAfication are seen. As you progress through the game, you eventually get acquainted with new characters. You probably won’t be able to remember their names but it’s their personality that defines them. I can’t stress this enough but GTA IV has such a diverse set of characters that are just a pleasure to watch. With time, you might grow fond of one of the characters and there is no telling when you might start imitating them.

With the inclusion of the new engine the character models look more believable. We don’t have to deal with box figures no more. With perfect lip syncing this time, the cut scenes can immerse the players completely. Coupled with extraordinary voice acting and slick script writing, we are being given something that is just out of a Hollywood flick, maybe even better at times.

This is not the end though, there is lot to look forward to in the GTA IV universe. Even though it might not be as huge as San Andreas or filled with insane amount of activities that were present in San Andres. GTA IV even though smaller in size, is undoubtedly the most intricately detailed GTA to date. Period.

Giving a glimpse or even a slight hint of the characters is nothing short of an act of SIN from my part. The game has it’s own way of giving introduction to it’s characters. Basically if you have played the previous GTA Games, the introduction mechanism is practically the same. You meet some characters, they introduce you to more characters and those characters in turn introduce you to more characters. All these people give you missions that you carry on as usual. But, we have a different sort of twist this time.

The game is heavily story driven, the characters get more personal. At times, you have instances when you have long chats through cut scenes with your friends that give an idea about their backgrounds, more or less you get somewhat personally attached to these characters. What’s the problem then? Well, how would “you” react if you were asked to carry out a hit on your own friend? Something new that GTA IV has tried this time.

As I mentioned, “How would YOU react”, if you are giving the option of either this friend or that. It is not as easy and in no way similar to the pathetically executed decision making in Splinter Cell Double Agent. In Double Agent, you were given the option to follow the bad guy or the good guy, which makes the decision easier considering majority of you would rather follow the good guy.

In GTA IV, you are the bad guy and your friends are actually “FRIENDS” (They have been true friends to you throughout), the circumstances that lead you to that point no return, on who to kill and who not to; are very well done and in no way, do they feel as if they just popped out of nowhere. At times I personally was forced to think if whatever decision I am going to make, would it make sense or no.

You rarely get games that force you think or garner emotions towards AI characters, GTA IV has executed that perfectly. The story changes according to the decision you make, it may not have a HUGE impact as you continue through the game but it will change certain things more or less. Make decisions as you feel right. It’s completely your decision and you are going to hate and love it at the same time. What GTA IV has given us is a brilliantly crafted storyline with entertainment from the start to finish. With the inclusion of sensible and thought provoking decision making, GTA IV has taken one step forward in the right direction.

Practically, giving YOU the right to make the decision involves you in the game more deeply then ever before. This time things get personal and you as the player are the pivot handling the situation. There is lot more to say about the story, but that’s for you to experience. An experience that you will remember for a long long long time

GTA IV has some really amazing characters that you are acquainted with as you progress through the game. Well we have something different this around. Some of these characters become good friends and you have to keep them happy. At times, you will get calls from your friends asking if you would like to go for a drink or the strip club or the other optional activities scattered throughout Liberty City. The end result is really fruitful.

If you do keep your friends happy and don’t ignore them, they will eventually grow fond of you and will return the favor by either giving you services (not of that type you sick pervert), but by giving you certain resources that they have access too. If you keep Roman happy, he will provide you a cab from his taxi service that will help you reach your destinations for free. A word of caution though, the driver is one really funny outspoken Indian (Well that’s how he sounded, could be from any South Asian country).

Best Flight Simulator Computer Games We Recommend

Anticipating a growth in an unfamiliar territory, certain companies like Sony, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Activision, etc. played an important part in advancing the computer games technology. They brought these to a different level all together. Different accessories devices are manufactured to play these games.

PC Games. These games are available on CDs in retail market and can also be downloaded from the internet. These are available at a price and some are freeware. A lot of websites offer freeware games. One can check for new releases and upcoming games from these websites.

Online games. These are created and uploaded by individual websites. These are also in both categories of paid and freeware. More than a billion games are available online. These games can also be connected to multi-player games.

Multi-player Games. In these there can be more than one player at a time, unlike on the PC where it is one person activity. Proper devices or consoles are needed to play them. Two or more players can play at a time. Popular multiplayer games are World of Warcroft, Warcroft 3, Baseball, BloodWars, Business tycoon online, Castle of heroes, etc., which can also be played online with friends.

Gaming console games. With the demand for high quality, high resolution, multi-level games, companies got into the market dedicated software needed consoles. Now games are being created for Xbox 360, Nintendo DSI, Nintendo DS, Play station, Play station Portable(PSP) and Wii. However, they are on the expensive side.

Today's computers are able to cater for the high graphics of the video games. With this immense technology, the world seems a small place. There is no need to come out from the comfort of the home. With the broadband / mobile internet and the advancement in the computer technology, this industry is set for further and higher growth.

Lately I have been posting an awful lot of business stuff and it seems I have been neglecting my account for a few months now. I thought today I would write about something more fun and compelling, as opposed to the same old boring business jargon. I decided to write about flight simulation and which games I prefer that provide the most realistic flight simulation experience.

You will find several different types of flight simulation games, some are designed for just 1 or 2 specific aircraft, some are online games, some don't need to be online, and others provide their own equipment and use separate gaming technology that does not run on your PC.

I prefer computer flight simulator games. The things to look for in a flight sim game include things like feature support... It is not a good game if it does not support your pedals and yoke equipment. Games that don't adapt professional equipment usually aren't worth the money in the long run, and usually are much more limited. Do you want a game you will master too quickly that only features a couple of aircraft? Chances are not, so it is definitely better to have a flight sim with hundreds of real aircraft to choose from.

Are you looking for a fake sim game just to have fun? Or do you want a simulator based on real life terrain, with tens of thousands of real airports, and which offers you the ability to change all weather settings and make the game as realistic as possible? I would say it's the latter for me. If you are interested in a realistic game I suggest you keep reading.

I was informed about "Pro Flight Simulator" by a good friend of mine. He recommended the game not only for it's 120+ aircraft, 20,000 airports, 3 bonuses including a combat game, scenery designer and flight planner. He also recommended it because you can add your own custom graphics!

The graphics in the game are open source, it does come with great graphics, but if you are an artist and/or photoshopper this really comes in handy, as you can virtually replace whatever graphics you want with your own better ones. Thus completely customizing the game.

Computer Game Community In The World

Now in the world almost all the people play computer games, and most of them love the games very much and are deeply addicted in them, they also set up the communities for the computer gamers to discuss about the games and share their experience.

The gaming community has exploded in the past decade with the introduction of MMORPG’s (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) and RTS (Real Time Strategy) games. It is not only playing the games that has infiltrated pop culture, but the streaming of live gameplay has become all the more prevalent. Players of games such as League of Legends, Starcraft II and Counter Strike sit in from of their computers or have parties not to play the game, but to watch it being streamed by professional players.
League of Legends seems to be the most commonly streamed game. It is not the most popular game in  big tournaments put on by Major League Gaming or the massively successful Dreamhack, but the fans of LOL, as it is known, is growing by the day.  Many of the professional League of Legends players stream for a majority of the day seven days a week. They play advertisements during downtime and make money depending on how many viewers they have at the time.
Streamers can get a free program to broadcast their games, Xsplit seems to be the most popular. From there, they need only to sign up with a streaming website, Ow3ed.tv or Justiv.tv are the two most commonly used.
Own3d.tv is by far the most popular streaming website for professional players. The site hosts the players streams and provides a platform for them to make money off the stream by playing the advertisements set up by Own3d.
Streamers are paid for how many viewers they have at the given time of advertisements. For every advertisement played per 1000 viewers, the streamer gets three dollars. This may not seem like a lot, but the most popular players have an average of 10,000 viewers watching while they are online. That means $30 for each ad played.
The ads are often played in sets of three, so for every three adds the streamer can make $90. They can play the ads as much as they like, but most play a set of three once every half hour or so.  Not a bad payout for playing a game you love.
The hardest part about streaming to make money is to capture your audience. Many of the professional players are known from international tournaments. Anyone just coming into a stream will have to grab the attention of viewers through wit, banter, well played games and a great music selection while they stream. The biggest key to keeping and growing an audience is keeping them entertained during downtime. This can be done with Youtube videos, discussion of the last game or game mechanics overall and have music running in the background.
Online streaming does not seem to be a consistent way to make money in the future because of the dynamic nature of competitive gaming, but for the professional League of Legends players it seems to be a great way to enjoy what you do for a living.

Present The Computer Game Eve Online

In this paper I will present the computer game Eve Online (hereinafter referred to as Eve), which was released by the Icelandic Crowd Control Productions (CCP hereafter) in 2003. First and foremost, I will present what the players of Eve is doing to expand and exploit the game to a greater extent than what the developers had in mind. To view it, I will first describe what Eve is and see it in context with other similar games. I do this in order to point out that giving players the opportunities they have in Eve as the corresponding computer games can not offer. Then I look at some of the meta-game gameplay that adds up to, and give examples where players create their own works either in game or out and either using or inspired by Eve. I will also look at some of the game's developers have done since the launch in order to satisfy their users. This is not a presentation of the computer game Eve Online, but a showcase of some of the more specific aspects of Eve Online that add up to player created and player-controlled items.
Internettromskip
Eve Online was first launched in 2003 with the full title of Eve Online: Second Genesis. Publishers CCP would create a different MMORPG at that time was dominated by Everquest and Lineage. When World of Warcraft (henceforth WoW) defined MMORPG genre in the autumn of 2004, Eve is still small but has since created its own loyjale player base and had, by 2008 just under 250,000 player accounts. A main point of the CCP was to have a server that everyone played in contrast to most MMORPG games where you can choose between different servers.
Eve Online is set in New Eden, a sci-fi universe 20,000 years forward in time and spread over thousands of solar systems players can fly to. The players relate to each other by collaborating with other spacecraft in its fleet and shoot in pieces the enemy fleet of spaceships. One of the main themes of the game is capitalism and it can boast of having perhaps the genre's most advanced player-based economy. This means that there are players who generate all the game's resources, money, space ships and equipment that they use to get better at shooting each other to pieces. The other main theme of Eve 's warfare. The universe consists basically of five groups or factions of people, of whom four are playable, and these are mostly in a cold or hot conflict. Next to these factions are the players' own factions, either in the form of a corporation or alliance of several corporations. The player-controlled factions, I will elaborate on.
From world heroes to the everyday heroes
Role of the data involved is almost always the player who went out to save the world from the evil powers. He / she was the game's center, he / she was the hero the world had waited for. From the mid-90th century onwards, the birth of a new genre in the gaming industry. Titles such as Ultima Online, Everquest and Asheron's Call was a completely new type of game that got the players to relate to the virtual universe and its partners in a way they had not done before. A player could collect iron, as another forged into a sword, which he then sold to another player, who used it to fight other players or creatures in the game world. A player's choices left to decide how he would go forth to conquer the game and reach the end, how he would fit into a world of equals. Yet it is often the feeling of accomplishment that motivates a player to continue playing a game for a long time. The player wants to prove to themselves and others that he has what it takes to get to the top.
In most multiplayer games is the ranking lists, and in sports. They show who's best, but the role-playing games have a system based on many more facets. They are often several areas players can mark themselves in. Players judged based on how good they are, how many friends they have, how credible they are, how they behave and what they do. They can become celebrities or villains in their gangs, or on their server or in the entire game. In extreme cases, the players' actions make them like many Internet phenomena, also out of the game's audience know who is. One can say that where traditional multiplayer games like Counter Strike and Starcraft relate to the players as practitioners, who shows his skill with the rules and conditions the game has set, so using role-play other players who judges based on expectations and reactions judge a player's actions. The point of the game was no longer to reach the end or finishing in the top of the rankings, but to find their place in a society that is developed by the players' actions.
